The Moravian-Silesian Research Library in Ostrava is an important cultural and educational institution of the Moravian-Silesian Region. It is a public library with a collection ofalmost 1 million volumes. It offers access to professional electronic sources (scientific databases, e-books) and leisure reading. It is building a special collection for visually and hearing-impaired users. It pays special attention to regional literature - it is building the Digital Library of the Moravian-Silesian Region, compiling regional retrospective bibliographies and publishing regional e-books and audiobooks.
